Gerald Conover is a world-renown expert on intelligent transport systems and services (ITS).

As managing director of PRC Associates, Mr. Conover continues to apply his broad ITS experience and expertise to solve the problems of, and create new opportunities for, companies and public agencies in the ITS community.

His particular expertise is ITS systems and service business and product analysis, product strategy and plans, and globalization. Topical foci are traveler information (navigation, telematics), vehicle safety systems (collision warning and avoidance, lane departure, extra- vehicular sensing, autonomous driving) and extra-vehicular communications (e.g., cooperative driving).

Mr. Conover served on the Board of Directors of the World Congress on Intelligent Transport Systems for 21 years, having served as its chairman and head of finance (four times). He is also a past member of the Board of Directors of the Intelligent Transportation Society of America and led the Society’s international relations activities.

Mr. Conover is the 2005 recipient of the Society of Automotive Engineer’s Intelligent Transportation Systems Award for excellence in moving forward ITS technologies and applications. He has also been honored by the ITS community, being inducted into the ITS America Hall of Fame in 2011 and the ITS World Congress Hall of Fame in 2012.
